Job Summary
The Structural Engineer will execute assigned R&D and engineering tasks for the Surface Mining Customer Segment at the Alachua facility, validate major structural designs, and support technical solutions. Responsibilities include performing and overseeing FEA analyses (including non-linear and modal analyses), validating calculations with strain gauges, maintaining design standards, and conducting cross-functional design reviews. The role requires applying mechanics of materials and machine element design knowledge, proficiency with CAD (UG/NX), PDM systems (TeamCenter), and strong analytical thinking, as well as coordinating with Engineering Supervisors, Chief Engineers, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure on-time project completion and adherence to specifications. Educational background should include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with an MS preferred, and 3-5 years of FEA experience; U.S. work authorization is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of practical experience in FEA Analysis
- Ability to work in the U.S. on an indefinite basis without sponsorship
