Job Summary
Lead structural design and analysis for mid- and high-rise residential projects, including gravity, lateral systems, and foundations in concrete, steel, or timber. Own each project's technical delivery end-to-end, ensuring construction documents are accurate and coordinated for contractors. Manage and mentor a team of engineers by distributing tasks, reviewing work, and enforcing quality control. Act as the external-facing point of contact for structural matters, running coordination meetings with architects, MEP engineers, and civil engineers. Balance hands-on technical work with oversight to keep the team unblocked and support proposal assembly as needed. This remote role requires Eastern Time availability and 9+ years of structural engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of proven experience in structural engineering, including exposure to U.S. building codes and residential (multifamily) mid- and high-rise projects
- A genuine interest in and aptitude for leading people
- Client-facing experience: comfort running or actively participating in coordination meetings with architecture, MEP, and civil engineering teams
- Proficiency in Revit, RAM, and ETABS
- Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or timber construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of CONCEPT, particularly for post-tension concrete projects
- Prior experience training or supervising junior and mid-level engineers
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design through Construction Administration (CA)
