Job Summary
Perform code research and generate engineering calculations for structural design of concrete and steel structures. Conduct structural analysis using finite element analysis programs, design gravity load framing systems, and develop structural drawings. Review project documents, supervise engineers and drafting staff, and evaluate contractor bids for owner consideration. Requires an MS in Civil or Structural Engineering with strong knowledge of ACI 318, ASCE 7, AISC 341, and the AISC Steel Construction Manual. Preferred skills include MATHCAD, AUTOCAD, SAP2000, and GTSTRUDL.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong knowledge & understanding of the principles of civil & structural engineering
- Strong understanding & practical knowledge of the following codes & specifications: ACI 318, ASCE 7, AISC 341, & the AISC Steel Construction Manual
