Job Summary
Fully remote Structural Engineer (PE) to provide complete structural calculations packages for modular units across a nationwide portfolio of facilities. Produce design for gravity and lateral systems, from concept through state submissions, with opportunities to take on multi-story complexes and special projects. Role involves supporting manufacturing facilities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating as part of a team or independently, and leveraging software such as ENERCALC, RISA 3D, Tekla TEDDS, and Woodworks. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering, an active PE license, and a minimum of 3 years of licensed experience. California, Alaska, and Hawaii licensure are strongly preferred; candidate must be willing to obtain additional state licenses. Compensation includes base salary ($120,000–$150,000), a $20K sign-on bonus, license incentive bonuses, and full benefits. Fully remote—work from anywhere in the U.S.—with on-site access at facilities in 8 states for those who prefer it.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil/structural engineering
- California, Alaska, and Hawaii licensure strongly preferred; willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Complete and current NCEES record holder
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing licensed PE
- Experience with load development and structural calculations for both gravity and lateral systems
- Proficiency in structural analysis software including Excel, ENERCALC, Tekla TEDDS, RISA 3D, RGS CFS 14, Woodworks, and Bluebeam Revu
- Strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, NDS, AISC, AISI
- Experience with wood framing and cold-formed steel design
- Multi-story wood design and/or high wind zone experience a plus
