Job Summary
Lead projects as Engineer of Record for a structural engineering firm, collaborating with EITs and drafters to produce construction documents; perform structural calculations for wood, steel, masonry, and concrete; utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed drawings; participate in project meetings and conference calls; conduct on-site structural inspections; direct drafters to develop comprehensive construction documents and manage field calls with sketches for ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Completed coursework in structural analysis, strength of materials, reinforced concrete design, and steel design
- Passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam
- Hold a PE license with the ability to obtain a Florida PE License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of building structures
