Job Summary
Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing systems across healthcare, corporate, and educational projects. Develop construction drawings and details while reviewing shop drawings and submittals to support the construction administration phase. Collaborate with design and construction teams to address structural needs, benchmark embodied carbon, and identify reduction strategies. Review applicable codes and assemble project specifications. Requires a BS in Civil/Structural engineering with 7+ years of experience, professional licensure, and proficiency in structural analysis software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BS Degree in Civil / Structural engineering
- 7+ years of experience in the design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry and wood building structures for healthcare, corporate, commercial and/or educational project types
- Professional licensure
- Knowledge of building codes, design & construction standards, and efficient construction techniques for a variety of material types
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
- Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- MS Preferred
- Experience with a variety of structural analysis software packages
- proficiency using Revit
- A passion for high quality design
