Job Summary
Lead structural engineering projects designing concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite structures for pump stations, reservoirs, and water treatment facilities in high seismic regions. Prepare specifications and drawings, analyze existing structures, and conduct on-site structural observation during construction. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions for municipal and industrial clients across the United States using BIM tools and software such as RISA 3D, RAM Elements, and Revit. This role requires a licensed PE in California with a minimum of 10 years of structural consulting experience. The position is based in Northern California offices with a hybrid schedule of at least two days in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) required in the state of California
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering focus (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a consulting engineer focused on structural design
- Experience working on structural engineering projects from conception to completion
- Deep understanding of structural design principles, codes and standards
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling
- Minimum of two days per week in the office
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in structural engineering for industrial or municipal infrastructure projects
- Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE) preferred in the state of California
- Experience with RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, and STAAD
- Experience with Revit
- 15 years of experience (preferred)
- Experience providing structural consulting services and construction administration
- Preferred background in water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Experience with BIM tools
- Experience with Revit
