Job Summary
Lead structural engineering projects by designing and analyzing concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite structures for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and reservoirs in high seismic regions. Prepare specifications and drawings, conduct on-site structural observation during construction, and utilize BIM tools like Revit to deliver interactive project environments. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support municipal agencies and industrial facilities across the United States, focusing on existing structure evaluation and structural integrity for projects from conception to completion. Requires a licensed PE in California, 10+ years of structural consulting experience, and proficiency with RISA 3D, Enercalc, and RAM Elements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) required in the state of California
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering focus (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a consulting engineer focused on structural design
- Experience working on structural engineering projects from conception to completion
- Deep understanding of structural design principles, codes and standards
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling
- Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE) preferred in the state of California
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in structural engineering for industrial or municipal infrastructure projects
- Experience with RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, and STAAD
- Experience with Revit
- 15 years preferred
