Job Summary
Design and analyze structural components, equipment supports, frames, and foundations for water and wastewater treatment equipment. Prepare structural calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications while developing design improvements to enhance product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with Mechanical, Process, Manufacturing, and Project Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle to provide technical support, engineering clarifications, and design reviews. Ensure compliance with applicable structural codes, engineering standards, and safety regulations while participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product design and standardization. This full-time, on-site role in Aurora, Illinois requires a Structural Engineer with a P.E. license and a minimum of two years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis), or a related engineering discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license.
- Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of structural engineering principles, design codes, and industry standards.
- Experience using structural analysis and design software.
- Proficiency with CAD software for engineering drawings and design documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing structures or equipment for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, process equipment, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with fabrication, manufacturing, or field installation support.
