Job Summary
Perform structural analysis and design calculations using industry-standard software, develop detailed drawings and specifications, and conduct site assessments to identify structural requirements. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure project coordination, review construction documents for compliance, and provide technical support during construction administration. Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and sustainability while keeping project files organized and audit-ready. Maintain current knowledge of evolving building codes and present technical findings to stakeholders. Requires Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with EIT certification, three years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, or SAP2000. Located in Sacramento, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- EIT certification
- PE certification obtained or actively in progress
- At least three years of relevant full-time experience in structural engineering design
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000)
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, mechanics, and materials
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear project documentation and collaboration
- Comfortable owning your work independently while actively engaging as a collaborative team member
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
