Job Summary
Lead and manage discipline-specific design scope and budget on small to mid-sized projects, developing construction drawing packages and specifications with minimal oversight. Conduct field surveys, site walks, and construction reporting to identify non-compliant existing conditions, while interfacing with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors. Support proposal development, contribute to internal training presentations, and lead squad checks to ensure design quality. Mentor junior staff and assist in system design programming with senior support. This intermediate-level role offers exposure to client-facing responsibilities and project leadership within CRB's Life Sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a design firm or similar setting
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., RISA, Enercalc, Tedds)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with structural material codes and applicable building standards
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or in-progress
- Experience coordinating with construction trade partners and vendors
- Strong skills in structural design calculations with limited supervision
- Basic troubleshooting experience with structural systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
