Job Summary
Structural Engineer II responsible for performing basic structural engineering tasks for electrical construction projects under supervision. Provides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers, conducts detailed calculations to establish construction standards, studies technical drawings/specifications, plans layouts of construction projects, and conducts field surveys to identify and correct structural problems. Must apply principles from mechanics, mathematics, physics, and material science to solve problems, coordinate with internal/external customers, ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements, inspect installations for conformance, and contribute to data collection, reporting, and QA/QC activities. Requires 4+ years of experience, a degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis, and availability for 0-25% travel. Works within a team environment across engineering and manufacturing groups with opportunities for career development and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
- 4+ years of experience
- Travel 0-25%
- Proficient in computer-assisted engineering and design software
