Job Summary
Conduct structural design for all project types, including schematic/geometric layout design and load rating analysis. Perform design calculations per applicable codes using specialized software, prepare plan drawings, construction specifications, and details. Execute on-site inspections, analysis, and condition assessments of existing structures. Support construction phases through shop drawing reviews and RFI management. Assist project managers with scoping, budgeting, and quality assurance of deliverables. Requires BS in Civil/Structural Engineering with EIT certification, 5+ years of experience, and New York PE preferred. Located in the Northeast market infrastructure group.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering
- EIT certification
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- New York PE
- Knowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing
- Knowledge of structural analysis software including SAP-CSI, AASHTOWareBrR, LARSA 4D or similar
- Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
