Job Summary
Calculate environmental and blast loads; analyze and design vertical and lateral force-resisting systems. Design shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and utility supports. Collaborate with architectural and engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, code-compliant designs for Government facilities. Perform structural analyses and develop engineering designs for planning, construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. This role requires a U.S. citizen with an ABET-accredited degree, five years of professional experience, and a DoD Secret clearance. Primary work location is NSA Naples, Italy, with frequent Temporary Duty travel to NSA Bahrain.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited civil engineering degree (bachelor's or master's) with emphasis in structural engineering
- hands-on facilities design experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional civil/structural, code-compliant facilities design for new construction, including renovation design
- U.S. citizen
- current, active DoD Secret clearance
- Valid driver's license
- ability to perform physical activities such as prolonged walking, standing, climbing, crouching, and bending
Desired Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in civil/structural engineering
