Job Summary
Utilize building codes and standard reference materials for commercial and residential structures to produce construction documents using Revit. Delegate the development of system layouts, narratives, calculations, and engineering reports while designing buildings, performing structural modeling, and creating concrete mix designs and shop drawings. Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of the integrated design process, providing guidance to junior engineers and directing project activities. Travel to project sites and meetings, adapting to variations in building codes and construction practices across the US. Requires a licensed PE and proficiency in RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, and STAAD.
Required Qualifications
- licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Licensed Structural Engineer (SE)
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as RISA,ETABS, SAP2000, and STAAD
- Experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Need to be a background check and drug test
- Experience with directing and coordinating project activities of junior staff
