Job Summary
Senior Structural Bridge Engineer responsible for leading bridge design, preparing plans, specifications and estimates for bridges per FDOT requirements, performing structural analysis and design focused on Florida Highway structures, reviewing shop drawings, and inspecting bridges and highway structures. Leads design meetings, coordinates with team members, mentors junior staff, and assists with business development and proposals to expand the client base. Based in Maitland, FL with opportunity to contribute to a well-established technical group, leveraging experience in civil/structural engineering, FDOT standards, MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler/Designer, and PE licensure in Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in the structural design of bridges with working knowledge of FDOT standards preferred
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design programs
- Working knowledge of MicroStation
- Ability to develop details, drawings and plan sheets in MicroStation
- Experience with OpenBridge Modeler and Designer software is a significant advantage
- Registration as a PE in FL is required
- Previous business development and project management experience a plus
