Job Summary
Structural Engineer in Hatch’s Project Delivery Group (PDG) for mining/industrial projects. Responsibilities include assisting the Engineering Manager/Lead Structural Engineer with scope, cost and schedule alignment; preparing engineering calculations and technical specifications; reviewing design criteria; contributing to technical memos/reports; providing input to cost estimates; participating in design reviews; stamping documents/drawings as licensed; managing small capital and maintenance projects; and supporting proposals, all while upholding safety and integrity principles in structural documentation for concrete foundations and structural steel in underground mining environments.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited university
- Registration as a professional engineer. Alternatively, registration as a candidate professional engineer actively working towards professional registration or regional equivalent.
- Minimum 7+ years project engineering experience, including experience in underground mining projects and related structures such as mine shaft and headframe design.
