Job Summary
Perform structural analysis and design using finite element modelling techniques and software tools like Autodesk Robot or ETABS. Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and technical design specifications while working alongside architects and construction professionals to ensure system integrity. Conduct structural assessments and inspections during design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with local codes, SANS standards, and project requirements. Assist in resolving structural challenges by offering practical and innovative solutions. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience and proficiency in FEM software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis
- Solid understanding of local building codes, SANS standards, and construction practices
Desired Qualifications
- Progress towards ECSA registration
- Proficiency in FEM software (e.g., Autodesk Robot, ETABS, Prokon, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
