Job Summary
Senior Structural Designer to lead projects and teams in steel, concrete, and masonry design; develop plans, layouts, sections, and bills of materials to convey construction or fabrication requirements; review structural calculations and drawings; manage a team of engineers/designers; coordinate staffing and project schedules; develop schedules and cost studies; provide design guidance and bid-package input; review vendor and fabrication drawings; mentor structural designers; perform fieldwork and travel to job sites as required; proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software (RISA/STAAD) is required; willing to visit job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent with additional technical training or experience is required
- Associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting or equivalent is preferred
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience in structural design
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with AutoCAD is required
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with Autodesk Revit is a strong plus
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in creating steel and concrete drawings for industrial projects is required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to visit job sites
