Job Summary
Produce and maintain technical and engineering drawings and models using 2D and 3D CAD software as required. Perform conceptual layout work and develop design details. Ensure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines. Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models. Verify onsite condition and dimensions relating to existing facilities. Assist the design with project requirements related to scope, quantities, cost and schedule. Incorporate safety in design. Structural Designer role within Hatch’s Project Delivery Group, focused on industrial, hydropower, and dam projects, producing structural 3D models and 2D drawings for reinforced concrete and structural steel, and contributing to front-end planning and detailed engineering phases.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school diploma specializing in civil/structural design
- Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages
