Job Summary
Structural Designer responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, generating engineered wood product layouts and material takeoffs, and providing on-site support. Requires knowledge of floor and roof truss design, ability to read architectural and structural blueprints, calculate tributary and concentrated loads, and apply local building codes. Full-time, on-site role based in Pataskala, Ohio, with an emphasis on accurate designs, standards conformity, and collaboration with sales for job-site support.
Required Qualifications
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Generate Engineered Wood Products placement layouts
- Generate accurate material take offs for estimating purposes
- Provide job-site support with the aid of sales department
- Knowledge of floor and roof truss design process
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints
- Ability to calculate tributary loads, concentrated loads, and load transfer through a building
- Knowledge of current local codes associated with structural design
- Good written and oral communication skills
