Job Summary
Structural Designer II responsible for generating 3D project models, designing roof, floor, and truss framing with detailed production and assembly documents (e.g., wall panels, truss elevations, bottom plate views, rake assembly lists) using MiTek software; requires strong knowledge of truss, wall/floor design, beam and I-joist calculations, residential construction practices, reading plans/blueprints, and adherence to residential building codes; emphasizes production workflow, multi-project management, and effective communication with customers and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year residential design or architectural engineering degree
- Minimum of 2-5 years of design framing experience
- MiTek software experience
- MiTek project setup and layout, truss, wall/floor design
- CAD – residential or architectural CAD software knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
