Job Summary
Assist in producing and maintaining technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software while supporting conceptual layout work and development of design details. Perform clash detection, verify site conditions, and incorporate safety considerations into design to meet project scope, schedule, and quality requirements. Participate in formal design review processes and collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally. This new graduate internship reports to the Structural discipline lead Engineer, offering mentorship and opportunities to gain experience on challenging projects across the Sudbury, ON office and project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Graduating 2026 or recently graduated from an accredited technical College program specializing in Civil / Structural design
- Awareness and some experience of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages
- Some background understanding of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to structural design
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good safety awareness
- Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
- Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges
