Job Summary
Structural Designer responsible for developing corrugated industrial, graphic packaging and POP display prototype samples, generating detailed display specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Account Executives, Customer Service, and Project Managers. Requires 5+ years in structural packaging design (corrugated/display), a college degree in Structural Design/Packaging Science/Industrial Design, proficiency with ArtiosCAD and related tools (CAPE, Kongsberg, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, SolidWorks, Strata 3D), ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to create art files for various printing methods. The role emphasizes adherence to packaging specifications, development of installation/instruction sheets for retail packaging, documentation of quality issues, and maintaining organized customer records in a full-time office/design setting. Travel is minimal.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in structural packaging design – corrugated or display industries
- College degree in Structural Design, Package Engineering/Packaging Science or Industrial Design from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of ArtiosCAD software, including parametric designs
- Experience with the following: CAPE design and palletization software
- Operating sample table cutting devices (i.e. Kongsberg tables)
- Display and/or retail ready packaging design development
- Package testing and methodologies (UN, ISTA, etc.)
- Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, SolidWorks and Strata 3D is a plus
