Job Summary
Structural Designer to join Ardmore Roderick’s Tollway GEC team in Lisle, IL, performing structural analyses of bridges, retaining walls and sign structures, with responsibilities including determining safe load capacities, evaluating OSOW permit applications (including Superloads), using AASHTOWare BrR for structural modeling, and preparing Structure Load Rating Summaries (SLRS). Requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 0–5 years of experience, strong teamwork and communication, and a valid driver’s license; the role involves a blend of remote, in-office, and field work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 0-5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field, from an ABET-accredited U.S. Institution
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
