Job Summary
Structural Design Tech I provides support by building and testing trusses and preparing engineering drawings using design software. The role involves selecting materials, operating equipment, performing tests, and creating engineering drawings for trusses. Applicants should be knowledgeable in mathematics and familiar with structural design principles.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of algebra, trigonometry and geometry
- Ability to understand load transfers and knowledge of material strengths and values
- Working knowledge of floor and roof systems
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and structural plans

- Ability to communicate effectively with others, including customers, architects, engineers, peers, and management
