Job Summary
Perform structural engineering calculations and analysis for commercial, residential, hospitality, and specialty projects. Design structural systems utilizing concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and cold-formed steel while developing practical solutions for complex challenges. Prepare structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation, then coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants throughout the design process. Conduct site inspections to verify construction compliance and assist with construction administration activities including submittal reviews and RFI responses. This role supports project delivery from conceptual design through construction completion for diverse portfolios including parking structures, theaters, theme parks, and seismic retrofit projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Experience designing structural systems using concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and/or cold-formed steel
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
- Experience with structural engineering software such as RISA-3D and ETABS
- Experience with site inspections and construction administration
