Job Summary
Full-time Structural Design Engineer II in Fort Collins, CO, collaborating with senior staff to plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work on projects of moderate scope or portions of major projects. Responsibilities include performing structural design and detailing for projects of various sizes, producing structural graphic models and details using REVIT, coordinating modeling efforts with other design engineers and BIM modelers, creating building analysis models using RAM or RISA, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and performing field observations. Requires familiarity with structural steel and reinforced concrete design principles, strong communication, and ability to work effectively in a team. Preferred familiarity with foundation design and masonry design principles and REVIT-based detailing.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain Colorado Engineer Intern designation within six months of hire
- Structural steel and reinforced concrete coursework: Familiarity with structural steel and reinforced concrete design principles
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaboration: Successfully work within a team environment
- Prioritize and Pivot: Produce high quality results while balancing multiple projects and deadlines
