Job Summary
Perform structural design calculations, interpret building codes, and document all project communications. Instruct BIM Modelers on converting designs into completed structural drawings and assist with evaluations, reports, analyses, and designs for existing and new facilities. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and requests for information while researching governing criteria, codes, guides, and best practices. Participate in site visits and work under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers. May be required to travel 0-25% for out-of-town or state assignments. This entry-level position supports LBYD's collaborative team environment, focusing on routine engineering assignments to assemble project plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering w/ Structural Focus or related undergraduate degree
- 0-2 years' experience
- Required to have passed or is preparing to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs occasionally
- Must be available for travel to out-of-town/state assignments
- Must be able to obtain and hold a Secret or Higher US Government Clearance
- Must be a US citizen (Proof of citizenship will be required)
