Job Summary
Conduct feasibility, preliminary, and detailed design studies for civil engineering structures, including surface buildings, underground installations, and utility networks. Perform structural analysis, dimensioning, and seismic design while reviewing and validating drawings produced by drafters and external consultants. Assess existing structures to define reinforcement and modification solutions, contributing to maintenance and consolidation programs through diagnostics and condition assessments. Support construction phases via technical follow-up and site inspections, and prepare technical specifications for calls for tender. Manage framework contracts related to structural engineering services and ensure compliance with applicable standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of civil engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and structural calculations, in particular reinforced and prestressed concrete, structural steel, and special civil works (e.g. diaphragm walls, Berlin-type retaining walls)
- Experience in road and infrastructure design, structural assessment and monitoring, cost estimation of construction works, and feasibility and preliminary studies
- A valid driving licence
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language
Desired Qualifications
- Good knowledge of underground structures and works (technical galleries, tunnels and caverns)
- First experience in hydraulic calculations and network design
