Structural Carpenter (Heavy Highway)

Job Summary
Structural Carpenter responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing concrete formwork and structural components for bridge, drainage, and heavy highway projects, including work on catch basins, scuppers, headwalls, culverts, and retaining walls. Must interpret blueprints and project plans, measure/cut/assemble formwork, install shoring and falsework, assist with concrete pours, ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards, inspect completed work, and collaborate with superintendents and crews to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in structural or heavy-civil carpentry, specifically in bridges, drainage structures, or roadway construction preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and grade stakes
- Strong knowledge of concrete formwork systems, layout, and heavy highway construction methods
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools related to carpentry
- Understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA standards
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a team-oriented environment
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
