Job Summary
Develop structural design information using Revit, Tekla, and Bluebeam software applications to create conceptual to construction ready models based on engineering guidance. Perform preliminary structural system layouts, develop details for complex conditions, and manage electronic markups from the engineering team into final deliverables. Check complete drawing packages for permit submission while collaborating with Project Management, Construction, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate designs meet contract responsibilities and building codes. Apply basic knowledge of standards and criteria in project design development.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree
- 1-3 years of BIM Modeling in Commercial Industrial, Manufacturing, and similar project types
- Motivated self-starter that focuses on details and quality
- Working knowledge of Revit
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Revit for permit level document creation is a plus.
- Experience with Tekla fabrication modeling is a plus.
- Coding language (C#, VBA, Python) experience and interest is a plus.
