Job Summary
Assemble, fasten, and install parts on aircraft using hand and power tools while interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Perform installation duties for aircraft electrical, plumbing, fabrication, flight controls, and class one fasteners. Inspect and test units for fit, alignment, and compliance using measuring instruments. Execute advanced rework, approved material deviation reports, and retrofit work from customer orders. Assist with major structure assembly including bulkheads, fuselage panels, and control surfaces. Provide task training to Level 1, 2, and 3 Assemblers and perform delegated quality inspection tasks. Requires proficiency in Kodiak Aircraft drawings and general aviation manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in interpreting Kodiak Aircraft engineering drawings
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient with the use of hand and power tools
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and a modern Web browser
- Minimum 3 years' experience and understanding of general aspects of general aviation manufacturing
- Master the required minimum number and type of assembly work as defined in the current Assembler Career Ladder policy
