Job Summary
Conduct structural design and analysis for high-rises, bridges, and commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Perform calculations, prepare detailed drawings and specifications, and utilize structural design software to produce accurate models. Collaborate with senior engineers on technical challenges, participate in field inspections, and contribute to project coordination meetings. Support client reviews through reports and presentations while receiving formal training and mentorship in plan production and project financials. This entry-level role begins in 2026 at Kimley-Horn's Alpharetta office, requiring an ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 and proficiency in Revit and Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in one of the following majors: Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering
- Working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
