Job Summary
Lead structural analysis of rotating and static components through design, development, testing, and validation. Complete detailed hand calculations and finite element analysis to evaluate strength, fatigue, and creep. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform trade studies optimizing design performance and durability. Document stress analysis to support engineering drawings and improve enterprise capabilities by creating process automation tools. Develop test plans to verify requirements and generate material data necessary to establish confidence in design solutions.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with one or more of the following analysis codes, ANSYS Workbench, Nastran, Abaqus, LS-Dyna
- Solid understanding of structural analysis/mechanics and failure modes (strength, fatigue, creep)
- Experience with analysis of welded assemblies and bolted joints
- Knowledge of engineering materials and their applications to achieve optimal structural
- Demonstrated experience using scripting languages (VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN, etc.)
- Experience with structural analysis of rotating machinery (turbopumps, compressors, fans)
- Relocation provided
- Travel expected up to 10% of the time
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Background Check Required for all positions
- Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential

Desired Qualifications
- MS Degree in engineering discipline
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Background in aerospace or heavy industrial applications
- Working knowledge of high-temperature material properties and selection
- CAD proficiency (NX, CATIA, or similar software)
- Familiar with API Codes and standards
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly of complex systems
- Experience with Agentic AI
