Job Summary
Lead the MA&T department technical processes and tools while directing analysis and test teams to solve complex structural challenges. Perform hand calculations and detailed finite element analysis using PATRAN/NASTRAN or ANSYS to validate program integrity, then conduct peer reviews and document results per Raytheon ME standards. Deliver validated solutions to internal and external customers, support staffing requests, and assist with proposal preparation and scope estimation. Act as a technical leader driving cost performance and career development for team members. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ, requires an active Secret clearance and 8+ years of structural analysis experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 8+ years of experience
- 12 years of experience (in absence of a degree)
- Advanced degree in a related field (substitutable for additional years of experience)
- 8 years of structural analysis experience
- Experience in leadership of engineering teams driving technical and cost performance
- Experience in structural dynamic analysis using PATRAN/NASTRAN or ANSYS
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in aforementioned disciplines
- ABET accreditation standard
- 10 or more years of experience in the structural analysis of complex systems that require collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines (such as a weapon system)
- Ability to work on a Raytheon plant-site including the ability to attend in-person meetings, visit test laboratories
- Experience in mechanical principles to solve classical structural analysis solutions both inside and outside of finite element tools
- Demonstrated experience in structural testing: planning, organization, execution, data reduction and correlation
- Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
- Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities
