Job Summary
Structural Analysis Engineer (Associate/ Mid-Level/Senior) to join Boeing Space Mission Systems in El Segundo, CA. Responsibilities include leading development and documentation of structural requirements, coordinating with engineering groups, verifying structural integrity via analytical methods and FEA tools, developing and executing test plans, certifying/test results for customers and regulators, investigating failures, and supporting supplier hardware development. Must perform onsite work with Boeing’s 9/80 schedule and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance; relocation assistance is offered. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with FEA experience and knowledge of several analysis tools (Patran, Nastran, Apex, Abaqus, HyperMesh, CREO-Simulate, etc.). Preferred/advanced levels include mid-career to senior experience (5+ to 9+ years), Master’s degree, active Top Secret/SCI clearance, space vehicle hardware experience, scripting (Python/MATLAB/VBA), cross-functional leadership, and strong communication. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Science)
- FEA experience
- Stress/structural analysis experience
- Proficiency with structural analysis tools (Patran, Nastran, Apex, Abaqus, HyperMesh, CREO-Simulate, Common Structures Workstation)
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Onsite work required
- Relocation eligibility
