Job Summary
Conduct active electricity trading on Day-Ahead and Intraday markets while continuously analyzing market developments, price drivers, and fundamental data. Identify trading opportunities and market inefficiencies, managing risk and monitoring positions. Develop and conceptualize new algorithmic trading strategies, translating market insights into concrete trading logic and algorithms. Perform backtesting and performance analysis of strategies, optimizing existing algo-strategies. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to implement strategies, defining technical requirements and specifications for new features. Test and validate newly developed strategies and algorithms in live operations, providing feedback for the in-house trading platform.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossenes Studium in Energiewirtschaft, BWL, VWL, Mathematik, Physik oder vergleichbar
- Fundiertes Verständnis der europäischen Strommärkte und deren Mechanismen
- Kenntnisse in quantitativen Methoden und statistischer Analyse
- Verständnis für Programmierung, Datenstrukturen, APIs und Trading-Systeme
- Analytisches Denken und Affinität zu datengetriebenen Entscheidungen
- Ausgeprägte analytische und konzeptionelle Fähigkeiten
- Strukturierte, präzise Arbeitsweise mit hoher Zahlenaffinität
- Teamgeist und Freude an interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit
Desired Qualifications
- Idealerweise mehrjährige Erfahrung im Stromhandel (Day-Ahead/Intraday)
- Erfahrung mit algorithmischem Trading oder starkes Interesse an der Entwicklung automatisierter Handelsstrategien
