Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the classroom, focusing on academic, social, communication, and behavioral goals; plan and deliver engaging lessons using evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction; implement the approved curriculum with fidelity; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and communicate progress to parents/caregivers; apply ABA, Structured Teaching, and Visual Supports to support learning and behavior; collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions; participate in professional development and support school-based initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 elementary endorsement
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in working with teachers, students, parents and staff
- Ability to informally assess learning and behavioral needs of students
