Job Summary
The Striping Foreman oversees and assists a pavement-striping crew performing markings, maintenance, and compliance with regulations. Supervises and trains laborers and operators, reads plans and schematics, lays out pavement markings, handles materials, and conducts truck inspections. May operate equipment such as front-end loaders and forklifts, and must maintain safety standards on construction sites with high traffic. Requires 3-5 years of striping/traffic control experience, a valid driver’s license with an MVR/background check, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and overtime. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-5 years striping/traffic control or related industry experience
- Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with three years of experience
- MVR check
- background and criminal record check may be required
- Reading plans, specifications and schematics
- Layout of pavement markings
- Overseeing and training a crew of laborers and operators
- Operating front-end loader, forklift and other equipment
- Loading and unloading material
- Performing truck inspections
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments and high traffic areas
- Flexible schedule including day or night shifts
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Documentation and daily paperwork processing
- Knowledge of local rules and regulations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
