Job Summary
Teach violin, viola, cello, or guitar to LASP students through individual and small group lessons; plan and prepare lessons and instructional materials; teach basics of music and music theory; develop students' technique, ear training, and performance presence; monitor and evaluate musical growth and progress; communicate with parents and school staff about student progress; support concerts/recitals; maintain records; contribute to heritage education through music; be patient, warm, and empathetic with students and foster engaging classroom environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music from a four-year college or university
- one to two years of teaching experience and/or training
- Must specialize in one of the instruments we teach: violin, viola, cello, or guitar
