Job Summary
Stretch Specialist delivers branded Assisted Stretch and Recovery sessions to help members move and feel better, guiding clients through safe, professional programs and demonstrations (pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting). Responsibilities include leading assisted stretch and recovery sessions (PNF and contract-relax techniques, hypervolt percussion, breathing drills), providing fitness-floor support, promoting/stretch-session programs and other services, completing client documentation, staying current on credentials and industry trends, and ensuring high-quality member experiences through education and outstanding service. Required certifications and a strong knowledge of recovery techniques are essential; a minimum high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and additional certifications (AIS, FST, CPR/AED). This is an hourly, part-time role with potential commission based on personal production.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified personal Trainer
- CPR and AED Certified
- Knowledge of assisted stretching and other recovery techniques
- Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class and to bend, stand, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
- 1 year of personal training experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or related field (preferred)
- Assisted Stretching Certification (AIS, FST, or similar)
