Job Summary
Conduct sizing of structural parts and components using FEM techniques and handbook methods. Perform trade-off analysis for design solutions and assess damages to develop repairs for in-service aircraft. Prepare analysis reports to support airframe qualification and communicate findings to stakeholders. This role supports Airbus within a team providing digital systems and engineering services for space and defence organisations.
Required Qualifications
- Aerospace or equivalent, minimum Master's/Diploma degree
- Fluency in English, at least business fluent
- Fluency in German, at least business fluent
- Several years work experience as engineer in aircraft structural analysis
- Good knowledge of standard stress analysis methods (e.g. HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness for teamwork with various interfaces to other disciplines
- Citizen of a European Union member state or eligible to obtain a work permit for Germany
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in stress analysis of pipe works or impact simulations
