Job Summary

Plan, organize, and prioritize work contents based on project deliverables. Perform detailed stress analysis of aircraft metallic and composite fuselage components using classical hand analysis and Finite Element methods to support structural design change efforts. Review design changes, check fatigue, static, and damage tolerance loads, and generate stress substantiation reports. Develop or review structural qualification plans per OEM standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with design engineers, team leads, suppliers, and technical management to ensure compliance. Participate in design reviews, present findings, and challenge solutions where appropriate. Compile progress reports to communicate deliverable status. This Level 4-5 role requires a BS in Aerospace Engineering and 9+ years of experience, including Boeing program exposure and proficiency in Nastran, Patran, and Abaqus. Located in Wichita, KS, with a competitive hourly rate of $64–$74.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical, Design, Structural or related discipline)
  • Level 4: 9 - 14+ years of Aerospace Stress Engineering experience with recognized technical expertise
  • Prior experience using stress analysis tools and methods
  • Experience with both composite and metallic structures
  • Must have Boeing program experience
  • Experience in static (FE and free body), fatigue, and transient analysis
  • Proficiency in Nastran, Patran, Abaqus
  • Strong capability in classical hand calculations and FEM methods
  • In-depth knowledge of Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
