Job Summary
Analyse components for strength, plastic collapse, buckling, fatigue, and heat transfer using FE techniques and hand calculations. Build FE models, write analysis plans, and report findings for design reviews and customer presentations. Identify design deficiencies and propose improvements while assisting with weld type definitions and safe lifting procedures. This three-year fixed-term contract requires SC Level security clearance, British citizenship, and five years of UK residency. Candidates must hold experience in FEA packages like Abaqus and ANSYS, along with knowledge of ASME and DNV Codes. Required Qualifications
- Experience in FEA packages, ideally Abaqus and ANSYS
- Knowledge of ASME and DNV Codes
- Technical knowledge of dynamic structures and fabrications
- Security Clearance (SC Level)
- British Citizenship
- Residency in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
