Job Summary
Stress/Structural Analysis Engineer position focused on evaluating piping flexibility, structural loading, and system performance for mechanical and building systems. Responsibilities include conducting piping stress analysis per ASME B31 codes using CAESAR II or similar tools, performing hand calculations, developing analytical models, reviewing nozzle loads, supporting piping and MEP design details, coordinating within CAD environments (2D/3D), preparing technical documentation of methods and results, and performing static/dynamic structural analyses. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, knowledge of piping, structural, and vibration analyses, familiarity with codes/standards (ASME B31, ASCE 7, IBC), and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Preferred qualifications include exposure to related standards and experience with MEP or industrial facilities, with a focus on developing expertise across piping, structural, and vibration analysis disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Two or more years of experience supporting mechanical or structural engineering analysis
- Experience with piping stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II, AutoPipe, or similar software
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for coordination and detailing
