Job Summary

Organize, supervise, and lead strength and conditioning programs by designing developmentally appropriate training for speed, agility, and quickness while collaborating with sport coaches to align programs with specific needs. Manage weight room and facility usage outside the school day, ensuring equitable access for all teams and providing direct supervision of student-athletes during all sessions. Assist the Athletic Director with budgeting, inventory oversight, and equipment maintenance, while promoting injury prevention protocols and safe training practices. Maintain compliance with district, league, and state policies and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators. This seasonal role operates from August 15 through November 14 at Saline High School, with weight room hours from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Previous successful experience working with student-athletes in strength and conditioning programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strength training principles, conditioning methods, and injury prevention

Desired Qualifications

  • Has current or the ability to obtain National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification prior to the position start date
  • Experience collaborating with multiple sports programs and their coaching staffs
