Job Summary
Develop, implement, and oversee strength and conditioning training programs for soldiers at the Brigade, Battalion, and Company levels to enhance physical performance and reduce musculoskeletal injury risk. Collaborate with the H2F Human Performance Team and medical authorities to create tailored programs for soldiers with physical limitations while ensuring compliance with NSCA, CSCCA, and FM 7-22 standards. Conduct regular assessments to identify improvement areas, monitor unit progression, and document performance data in accordance with Brigade Performance Director instructions. Manage equipment operations, coordinate facility scheduling for training events, and provide mentorship to unit fitness leaders. Refer soldiers with potential medical issues to appropriate healthcare services and establish communication with unit leadership. Submit proposed programs for approval and participate in team meetings to discuss physical training strategies and provide feedback on soldier progression.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field
- Three (3) years of relevant SCC work experience within the last five (5) years
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to pass a NACI (Tier 1) to obtain access to U.S. Government facilities and systems
- Current physical and immunizations
- Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
- BLS or CPR certification with AED, certified by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-15% travel
