Job Summary
The Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) for Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) at Ft. Drum, NY develops and administers periodized strength and conditioning programs to maximize Soldier physical readiness, reduce musculoskeletal injuries, and support warrior-task performance within Brigade/Battalion training calendars. On-site role requiring a government background check, with relocation support and generous benefits. Must hold NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC certification (or plan to pursue) and a Bachelor's degree, plus 3+ years of SCC experience. Responsibilities include coordinating and executing evidence-based training programs, integrating with unit schedules, providing injury-mitigation guidance, data collection and reporting, and mentoring Soldiers and leadership. The position requires fitness readiness, ability to lift up to 45 pounds, and eligibility for security clearance (CAC). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
- Current NSCA CSCS certification or CSCCA SCCC certification
- Minimum of three full years of relevant SCC work experience
- Tier 1 government background investigation/clearance eligibility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR with AED certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross emblem)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and communicate with Soldiers and leadership
- Ability to operate computer applications (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Physical ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 45 pounds and train in various environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (CAC)
- Willingness to pursue CSCS/SCCC certification if not already held
- Experience developing and executing task- and environment-specific injury-control and health/well-being programs for groups of athletes or DoD/HS/DOJ entities
- Ability to coordinate and adjust strength and conditioning programs within unit training calendars
- Demonstrated initiative and interpersonal skills to relate to Soldiers from diverse backgrounds
