Job Summary
Empty litter bins from roads, CBD, town centres, and bus shelters. Collect bagged refuse and recycling, remove leaf fall from cesspits, and manually sweep traffic islands and hard-to-reach areas. Clean street furniture, council assets, and graffiti from bins as directed. Report on bins requiring maintenance and provide cover for sweeper, scrubber, and compactor staff absences. Work outdoors Monday to Friday from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm with overtime when required. Full Class 1 driver's license and physical fitness are essential. Required Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role, or willingness to learn
- Full Class 1 driver's license with manual experience
- Be physically fit and mobile, able to do physical work
- Have a commitment to health and safety
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Provide two reference checks
- Hours of work will be 4.30 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday with overtime when required
